Soundmen On Wax has been praised by soulful and especially gospel house lovers for years. Indeed it is one of those labels that actually shape house music.
The label run by Shuji Hirose has released music from Kenny Bobien, Michael Watford, Susu Bobien, Dawn Tallman, Kerri Chandler, Ron Carroll and many others. We are so happy to see Soundmen On Wax picking up the Estonian producer, singer, songwriter Juki for her first release on this major house music label.
Step By Step is a song we played on the Radio Hour more than two years ago. It has been an unreleased until now.
The original version is a beautiful soulful house track, with catchy and uplifting vocal works alongside lush production. A perfect track for those laid-back moods when you fancy some house that doesn’t beg for attention. Instead it makes you want to pay attention and ask your friends ‘what is this track?’
I can see this being featured on any house music compilation they put out for those summer moods. It fits just perfect.
The second mix is laid-back chillout/lounge type of work, beautiful soundscapes for the after hours. Both of the mixes are written and produced by Juki herself, clearly showcasing her style of house. In some ways her tracks are with a lazy vibe, yet hooking you with lush vocals.
Juki is a talent, no doubt. Surely this this release on Soundmen On Wax will make heads turn.
