Soul to Unite

Cordis

Influenced by legendary Wednesdays and Saturdays at Radio 2, young Cordis started djing back in 1997, in a well-known seedbed of music – Rakvere. Photek as the motivation giver plus underground house from NY and Chigago led Cordis to a turning point – the first beats from Defected beside DJ Dave Storm’s Monday night house therapies made him a vinyl-buyer.

Cordis was noticed by a local professional DJs and got an offer to come into internetradio named RadioBar. His own radioshow called ‘Cordial Furies’ and the year 2003 guided Cordis to captivation of latin spirit. Few months later he met DJ M-Real and a house duo/project called ‘Soul2Nite’ was born. Same year they already played at internationally well known Sundance Music Festival Main Arena. Next year the duo won Numark DJ Competition 2005 in House category. Year ahead and it all continued with their Saturdays radioshow ‘Sensor’ at the biggest local house-music radiostation Energy FM.

For Cordis last two years has been little bit quiet for a while because of the MA studies of architecture but not anymore… Cordis met SD – a house music collector who feels the music, has a lot to tell and does his things in a basement style. There was no wait or discussion, it all came out strictly – the word and feelings of music have to be carried out.

Cordis has influences of Layner from Lejal Genes, Dave Storm of Ceremony Records, Raul Saaremets of Raadio 2 and Mutant Disco and DJ Andrevski.

House music all-time favorites include Jazz’n’Groove, Da Lata, Rose Max, Osunlade, Bebel Gilberto, Fred Everything, David Alvarado, Tony Thomas, Trentemöller, Johnny Fiasco, Tortured Soul, Jasper Street Co and more.
